Marketing Keeps You Young

Marketing Pulse is an annual convention organised by the HKTDC(Hong Kong Trade Development Council) for marketers, advertising practitioners, and business leaders and professionals.

We came up with the theme, Marketing Keeps You Young, for the Marketing Pulse 2019. It reflects the principle of marketing is to stay fresh and relevant. Marketing has become an essential business skill now that the consumer landscape has changed and there is no distinction between a product and its marketing or between in-store and online experience.

To give a refreshing look for the event, our team deconstructed the original logo and made the brand ID to become more dynamic and adaptable. We utilised the brand elements and assimilated them into various images to create all promotional materials.

To drive web traffic and online registration, we also produced a series of online display ads.

The concept was that every marketer could become a better version of himself/herself with the help of attending the Marketing Pulse event. By showing an eye-catching A + B = C formula, the iconic visuals depicted the concept in a humorous manner.

The brand elements applied in the visuals also helped to maximise brand awareness for the event.

Influencers Marketing

To drive top-of-mind awareness and generate word of mouth of the event, we produced a series of videos featuring influential marketers to share their POVs about the latest marketing trends.

 

 

After creating the hype in the marketing community, we announced the speakers and their presentation topics/accomplishments through a series of bite-size online video and display ads.

Meanwhile, a series of marketing-related infographics with data and trends in different industries also continued to maintain the hype for the event. The communication strategy is to own the conversations about marketing before the event.

 

Outreach Young Marketers

Marketing Pulse is a prestige event that attracts a lot of senior marketers in town. However, the event organiser still believes in engaging the young marketers’ community.

In light of this, we created a toolkit specifically for the young marketers to convince their supervisor sponsoring them the event tickets and allowing them to take a day off to attend the event. The kit included a Powerpoint presentation, email template, and SMS.

Event Recap Video

To visualise and summarise some essential data about the event, we produced two highlight videos.

It was not only for wrapping up the event but also for serving the purpose as promotional materials for the coming year. We want to let those who didn't attend the event to know what they had missed from last year.
