Canon EOS-R Rangers

EOS-R Rangers is a content curation project partnering with a group of young professional photographers.

In 2019, Canon, the leading brand in professional cameras, launched a new range of DSLR cameras and lens, namely EOS-R.  The new camera range is compact and versatile, targeting the new generation of professional photographers. 

We decided to celebrate this new generation of young and enthusiastic photographers. Few months after the EOS-R series launched, we outreached a group of up and coming young photographers who are also EOS-R new users.  

We call them EOS-R Rangers. 


The "Portrait" By EOS-R Rangers

 
 
 

To truly demonstrate the versatility of the EOS-R series, we assigned the theme "Portrait" to the EOS-R Rangers and gave them freedom in creative interpretations. 

The works we received from EOS-R Rangers are stunning, and each portfolio reflected a distinguished personality. 

To showcase the power of the EOS-R and Canon's printing technology, Canon curated a photo exhibition for each of the EOS-R Rangers in its flagship store.

 

The Rangers’ Stories on IG Story


 
 

To document the stories behind the curation process, we produced a series of IG (Instagram) Story videos with the EOS-R Rangers.

These set of social videos represent not only their unique interpretation of "Portrait" but also their personal views of what the essence of Portrait means to them.

We chose Instagram as the medium to document the story because it is the most popular visual platform of the new generation photographers.

Besides video, we also interviewed EOS-R Rangers and produced a Podcast style audio program for them to express their photography experience further.
